VISION

to see the kingdom and glory of God advance from the neighborhoods to the nations

THE GOOD NEWS OF THE KINGDOM IS NOT JUST PERSONAL, IT IS COSMIC AND ETERNAL

The gospel is a cosmic plan that was set forth from the beginning of time.

HUMANITY CANNOT SAVE THEMSELVES

ADAM & EVE
The original plan for Adam and Eve was to spread the glory of God by being good and wise stewards over all of God's creation. But they desired to be their own gods and to make their own rules, so sin entered the world. 

So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband whowas with her, and he ate.
Genesis 3:6

Humanity has been struggling ever since.

ISRAEL
As the people of God, Israel was to be a light to the nations, to show the world what a people wholly submitted to a good and wise King would look like. 

Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine; and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.<br
